Welcome to SnarkyType. By using snarkytype.net (the “Service”), you agree to these Terms & Conditions. Please read them carefully. If you do not agree to these terms, do not use the Service.

1. Accounts

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account and password. You agree to provide accurate information and to update it when necessary. SnarkyType reserves the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.

2. Acceptable Use

Do not attempt to cheat, manipulate scores, or exploit the Service for unfair advantage.
Do not use the Service to harass, abuse, threaten, or violate others' rights.
Do not reverse engineer or otherwise try to extract proprietary code or datasets from the Service.

3. Payments & Purchases

As of the last update (see above), SnarkyType does not offer paid purchases or subscriptions. Please check our changelog for updates.

4. Bans & Enforcement

We take cheating and abusive conduct seriously. Accounts found to be cheating or abusing the Service may be suspended or permanently banned. Bans may be made public as a deterrent and record; we may retain ban history for security and fraud prevention.

4.1 Security Monitoring & Logs

To protect the Service and our users, we may maintain security and audit logs of important actions and access events (for example: logins, account changes, moderation actions, and friend-request actions). These records may include timestamps, identifiers, and IP address (and an approximate coarse location derived from IP). Access to security logs is restricted to authorized administrators.

5. Content

SnarkyType may include user-generated content. You grant us a non-exclusive license to host and display such content. We reserve the right to remove content that violates our rules.

6. Disclaimers & Limitations

The Service is provided “as is.” SnarkyType disclaims all warranties to the fullest extent permitted by law. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from use of the Service.

7. Changes to Terms

We may modify these Terms at any time; we will provide notice of significant changes via the website, the changelog, or email where appropriate.
